Why pricing reactions were always late
Innovium sells across multiple marketplaces and regions. Pricing decisions had to account for competitor moves, currency shifts, marketplace fees, and inventory positions, and were being made by humans staring at spreadsheets. The team was growing but margins were eroding because pricing reactions were always late.
How we built the repricing engine
We built a pricing intelligence layer that continuously monitors competitor prices across the marketplaces, applies a repricing engine the team can edit and audit, and feeds an operations dashboard that replaced nine manual spreadsheets. Crucially, pricing decisions are explainable, every change has a trace.
What changed: sales up 40%, nine spreadsheets gone
Operations team productivity roughly doubled, they spend their day on judgment calls, not data entry. Marketplace sales increased 40% in the year following deployment. The nine spreadsheets are gone. Most importantly, when a regional manager asks 'why is our price this' the answer is one click away.
